It is with a heavy heart that we have to tell you that this issue of Community News could be the last issue.
We have been trying to recruit two volunteers to take over the positions of Treasurer and Editor but we’ve had no success. The current treasurer and editor resigned a while ago but have kept going in the hope that new recruits would be found. Unfortunately, the situation is even worse now because both the Chair and the Secretary have had to resign as well and therefore we now need to recruit four volunteers in order to continue. We need some younger blood – and young blood could include recent retirees who are looking for something to do!
If four volunteers do come forward to take over, Community News will continue to publish articles from local schools, community groups and the parish council, and to advertise local businesses.
We are very, very sorry about this situation and we understand that the local community and businesses would be losing a source of information and an opportunity to advertise.
